Mo Bradley
Just Fly Tying

for the Kamloops Lakes

Mo Bradley has been tying "fly fishing patterns" for the Kamloops Lakes since the 1960's. Just Fly Tying is a collection of local patterns described in his book "From Ice Off to Ice On" including live photos of the insects he has so accurately captured.

mo bradley, just fly tying Mo Bradley came to Kamloops in 1965 from Derbyshire, England. Now (2008)retired from his auto body repair career, he continues to promote his love of fly tying and fly fishing.

Throughout the 1980's and 1990's, Mo hosted a TV show called "Just Fly Fishing" and a phone-in radio show about fly fishing the Kamloops Lakes. At age 71 he continues to host the radio show to this day.

Mo currently hosts a 1 hr radio show on fly fishing and fly tying patterns on THURSDAY EVENINGS 6PM TO 7PM at Radio NL in Kamloops... That's 610 on the AM dial.

One of his enduring projects over the years was to maintain an aquarium in his home to study the life cycle of freshwater invertebrates that populate the Kamloops Area Lakes. The live photos included in this collection were taken from his home.

Mo Bradley - Conservationist

Mo has been an active participant in the conservation of fishing waters in BC. During the 1990's he was on the Habitat Conservation Trust Fund Board for 4 years. This organization helped fund many small projects such as stocking, rehabilitation of habitat and creation of spawning habitat for fish.

One of his most prized projects was being part of the organizing committee for the 1993 World Fly Fishing championships held here in the Kamloops area lakes. He also had the distinction of being part of the Scottish national team that participated in the championships.
