Mo Bradley Wins National Recognition

by mrbfsh
(kamloops, BC)

Mo Bradley, the long time Kamloops area fishing guru was recently recognized by the Canadian Government for his continuing contribution to outdoor recreation and environmental management.

Here is a clip from the Daily News (Kamloops) covering the event.

I quickly took an interest in Mo's TV and Radio shows in the 1980's when I first moved to the Kamloops area. I was learning how to tie flies and catch fish and Mo seemed to be the go-to guy in town. Although I met him a few times over the years at Surplus Herby's I really never got to know him until he and a couple of buddies came up to Kluane Wilderness Lodge (Wellesley Lake) in the Yukon in 2005 and we have been friends ever since.

Despite a degenerating eyesight condition, Mo continues to tie flies on Fridays and Saturdays from his cockpit behind that counter in the Surplus Herby's fishing department in Kamloops. He is always eager to tell you a story, express his opinion or offer some advice. His continued participation with the Kamloops Fish and Game Club is a testament to his dedication to our wonderful BC outdoors.

Congratulations Mo... well done!
