Went up to "Six Mile Lake" around 10:00 am this Saturday morning.
Fishing on the end of the lake to the left of the boat launch about 20ft from shore. Noticed quite a few black chronies hatching so I threw on my #12 black snow cone chronie and my dry line. Leader was about 10 feet with a strike indicator at the top.
Within the first fifteen minutes i had my first fish on. Landed it and it was 2.5-3lbs but decided to release it in hopes of something bigger.
10 mins later I felt a huge strike and after a 10 minute battle I landed a 25" giant! Didn't have the scale but estimate at 6-7lbs as it was very round. After landing that I had another fish on about 20mins later. Released that one as well. Unfortunatly this was the last fish of the day and I left around 2:00.
This fish was one of the biggest rainbows i have ever pulled in on a fly rod. There are definitely some big fish in this lake.
