Kamloops Fly Shop Hosts Book Signing Ralph Shaw & Larry Stefanyk

Co-editors of the book The Pleasure of His Company- the Fishing Diaries of Jack Shaw, Ralph Shaw(no relation but a long-time friend and associate) and Larry Stefanyk (artist,author and Island Fisherman Magazine publisher), were hosted by the Kamloops Fly Shop this past Saturday May 30. They were there to promote and sell copies of the book and sign them on site.

Ralph, Larry and deceased friend, Bob Jones, launched the book last year (2008). It documents 19 years of fly fishing journal of famous Kamloops fly fisherman/fly tying expert, Jack Shaw.

The book also includes a detailed section of Jack's favorite fly fishing patterns. Each fly is hand drawn in detail by Larry.

The Kamloops Fly Shop also hosted, what looked like a healthy number, a chironomid fishing class, adding to the traffic in the store and sales of the books.

Profits from the book are contributed to the McQueen Lake Education Centre, located north of Kamloops atop of the Batchelor Hills.
