Dragon Tales

by Thomas Kevin Beatty

Dragon Lake Male

Dragon Lake Male

Well as the season comes to a close.....I must admit that the fishing this year has been off - way off. Yesterday as other days this month since the water temp has dropped the fish have not been cruising into the shallows. That's a bummer, because I wait all year to target Dragon Lake's Bows in the fall!

fishing is spotty here too NEW
by: mr BFSH

Thomas, fishing has been spotty here too. The lower elevation lakes were sporting water temperatures at around 45F earlier this week and action was slow.
Jacko was just dead quiet the other day when I was out although last weekend it gave up a few fish in the 5-7lbs range.
Unless we have a warming spell (we got one last year in November), I will be sticking to 6 Mile, Morgan, Jacko and Edith until freeze up.
I am heading to the US for this coming week so I won't even get out again until late in the first week of November.

I might try some winter river fishing in the South Thompson this year. I have a friend who fishes it pretty successfully with spin tackle and prawns. I hate sitting around in the winter.
Have a good winter and let us know when Dragon is on in the spring... I have yet to get up there to fish but have been wanting to for the last few years.
