Classic Canadian - Red Lake, BC

One afternoon of trolling

One afternoon of trolling

I built two cabins this year on Red Lake (North West of Kamloops), wow what an amazing area. Not one day past where we didn't hook a fish, and when I say fish I mean large fish. There are two different types of fish in this lake, Large Rainbows and Eastern Brooks. We caught several fish over 5lbs (rainbows) and eastern brook one after another.

They key to this lake is trying different things, When I first started fishing it id go back and say the fish arn't biting, then one of the locals told me to switch lures, if no luck. Then I was nailing huge trout, and many days I had20+ fish days

UPDATE: Fished the ice Dec 10, WOW, 20 brook trout and 7 rainbows, the rainbow was a white jig and weighed 6.7lbs.
