BY THE TIME I GOT HIM IN HE WAS JUST SWEATING...

10 lb+ Winter Rainbow

10 lb+ Winter Rainbow

February 5th/2012 is the day when Walter met his match a story told and lived by a local fishing enthusiast and written by his lovely companion.

On a sunny Sunday, two fellow anglers and I, the fishing enthusiast, headed out on Okanagan Lake trolling and enjoying the scenery and not so much enjoying the cold weather.

Approximately 3 hours into our fishing trip and a couple lure changes along the way when all of a sudden one latched on. I knew instantly it was something substantial but to what extent was not certain of just yet. After 10 minutes of aggressive fighting with Walter, I got him within 20 feet of the boat when he became entangled with one of my buddy's line so I preceded to hand balm him in to where my buddy could safely net Walter in. To my disbelief I caught the biggest and bad-est Rainbow trout of my 26 years of angling.. Not sure of his weight but guessing over 10Lbs and under 12Lbs and that's being conservative.

With the right tools and perseverance I believe anything is possible including catching WALTER...And thats the story of the Enthusiastic fisherman.
